We just got done with Breakthrough. What’s your story with Chris Medellin and loanDepot. If there’s anybody you want to work with as a loan officer or want to go and work for the company, that’s going to be Chris is one of the most authentic people who really cares all about loan officers, but the agents and the people that he works with.

This is what’s cool because both loan officers and agents are scared of recording video. But I think everybody here actually took the time to record the video. We’re going to edit it, and give it to them for free this was just an awesome event.

Chris has definitely helped me grow my business. I still remember one of the first times I met with him and then, you know after I got onboarded and hired and everything I shared with him what my goals were. And they were pretty big at the time. And I remember sitting down with him in a one-on-one, and he really took that big, huge goal that I had.

And we broke it down into how we can accomplish it, right down to the right activities, to what I’m doing every single day, weekly, monthly, the types of things we can be doing, and different strategies. There were so many things that went into that planning that just started with a number, and then he showed me how to get there with the activities and it truly does work.

I can tell you. In my first year working for Chris, I doubled my income from where I was the year prior and then the second year I doubled it again. So his plans definitely do work. I definitely would not be where I’m at in my career without Chris right now. So thank you so much for all your leadership, man.

Hi, my name is Brittany Ellison and I want to talk a little bit about how Chris Medellin has helped me in my career as a loan officer. So I started that Loan Depot in November 2019, and I was hired as a receptionist. And after a little while, Chris challenged me to start working with other loan officers to try and learn and pick up some of their habits.

So I started assisting and it was slow, but I definitely was able to catch on. I learned a lot of things and then I was actually hired to be or I changed positions. I was promoted to the internal loan consultant when the one in our branch, she went on maternity, she went on maternity leave and I took over that position.

So I studied, I got a license and I was prepared for that. And then she left and I took over a full pipeline I did not think I could do it, but Chris was the one who believed in me. He thought that I could. He knew I had potential, and I think he knew me better than myself at that point because I had a lot of doubts.

But if it wasn’t for him and for his constant reassurance, saying that I could do it, I don’t think I would be here right now. And since then, I’ve continued to work in the internal loan consultant position, and I’ve been able to grow my business. I’ve been able to bring in customers of my own, not just work on employee deals.

And it’s been such a fulfilling, fulfilling career to never have been here or thought I’d be in this position if it weren’t for Chris…”

Chris has been instrumental in my growth. When I did make my move to Loandepot a little over two years ago, I was like, Probably most of you doing okay in my business, probably doing 30, 40 million a year, but not knowing how do I take my business to the next level, not knowing and really having the confidence in myself to know what the next steps are going to be, to take me to the $100 million mark and then beyond, you know, we hear these stories of all of these great people in the industry that are doing these insanely large numbers.

And sometimes I think we don’t even believe in ourselves, that we’re capable of doing that type of production. And I was shocked by that because at the time I was talking to five other companies that were making offers to me and my team to move. And to be honest, once we made our move to Loandepot, I probably tripled my business in less than two years. And I think the number one factor that has helped us get there is the confidence that Chris has given me to know that he’s got my back and to know that I can grow my business as large as I want to grow…”
