Bio
Chris Medellin is a self-made Mexican-American mentor, speaker, podcaster and thought leader born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. Today, he is based in Phoenix, Arizona, an award-winning producing leader and coach in the lending space, recognized nationally within and beyond his industry.
A San Antonio, Texas native, Chris’ first introduction to the idea of entrepreneurship and how it could impact one’s life began in his childhood home. His parents raised him with a keen awareness of the importance of home ownership and how it could positively impact one’s future trajectory – despite never having achieved becoming homeowners themselves.
After leading the most profitable team at the nationally recognized mortgage company, loanDepot, in 2020 and 2021, Chris was promoted to Regional Vice President in 2022.
Today, he leads and mentors multiple teams throughout the southwest United States, including Hawaii. In addition to achieving Chairman’s Elite each year since 2015, an award afforded the top performing leaders in the company, Chris also sits on the Board of Directors for NAHREP.
He lives to encourage others to find their own unique voice, understand their strengths, leverage media to build a brand for themselves and, most importantly, to confidently pursue a rewarding career that allows them to feel seen, heard and valued for their contributions – because they have something of value to offer.
Today, remains more committed than ever to working with young, minority emerging entrepreneurs in the lending space, mentoring them in the multi-disciplinary skills he has honed over the course of his career.
