I get asked this a lot if marketing’s the most important thing. In fact, I get criticized because I talk about marketing so much. But no, I don’t think that you can actually market until you have massive confidence in your process. So if I go out and I try to market something, I recruit, right? It’s what I do for a living.

I try to look for people who are struggling and say, Hey, we have a better system, we have a better process, and we can take them to the next level and help them break through. But in my process of doing that sucks my confidence to talk to somebody and convince them of that diminishes. And so if you’re a loan officer, a realtor, and your process sucks, then going out and marketing, that is just far harder.

I was talking to some the other day. They had no systems, and no process for onboarding realtors. When they work with them, they had no system or process on their CRM. So I actually said, Don’t do any more social media. Let’s figure this out. Let’s work on this. Until you have that done that way, when you do push out content, you’re going to be far more excited about doing it.
