There are three lessons that I learned far too late in life. And if you don’t learn these now, you are going to lose critical years in your growth.
Number one, you have to love what you do. If you hate talking to people or you’re a full introvert, sales are probably not the place that you need to be. You need to be in a position that you love. If you love talking to people, you need to be surrounded by the best and work in a high-energy environment.
Secondly, you have to look for ways to always improve your process activities over time. Equal experience. It’s like that 10,000 hours rule. If you keep putting in the work on your activities, you are going to get better over time.
And three: document your journey. I wish that I can go back to where I was 20 years ago and see what I was doing, learning from each of those experiences and living in the times that I failed. Document your journey through social media or in a journal. It’s important for you to see the progress you are making and learn from the times that you failed.
