When people think about becoming a leader, they immediately believe that everyone is going to just follow their lead or they’re going to do the job exactly the way they did it before they became a leader.
The truth is, when you become a leader, it’s super important to understand each individual person on your team and to figure out what inspires them, what drives them, what motivates them, and how that is different from yours. It’s important that you are flexible with the people that are going to be reporting to you and how you can influence them to work towards the common goal.
