Why shouldn’t you just trust the process? Because trusting the process discounts your concerns as a coach and a mentor. I always make it clear to my team that you have no obligation to trust my process until I’ve earned your trust. So if you’re wondering who to listen to or trust, I recommend that you establish your expectations first.
If the process aligns with those expectations, then you can charge on. You’ll begin to focus on the work instead of questioning it. This is your career, after all. It’s your time and your decision. You’re in the driver’s seat, not the process.
